As we are preparing for the end of the year, we thought we could not let you get ready for the celebrations without bringing some presents right before the holidays. The VDSR 2.4.10 update comes packed with some jolly good treats that we hope you all enjoy. Learn more below.
New Features
What’s New Panel
From now on, our users will be able to learn about the latest features and improvements done on our application directly from the application itself. Our What’s New section will list all the new features in VDSR and provide documentation on how to use them.
USB File Management
We have added a mechanism that allows users to upload files to the cloud and have their devices download them remotely. Basically, users can add files into the library and assign them into the right profile for their devices, once the profile is downloaded to a device remotely, the device will be instructed to connect to the cloud storage and download the USB file.
This is particularly useful for users with the OTG version of the TCG4 where they can use the USB port as a USB stick directly connected to another device on a machine (i.e. HMI) and transfer files.
We have also added USB file status on the device’s “Connect” menu. This will let customers know when the USB files assigned by a profile have been completely downloaded by each device. To see this status, click on the conent button for a particular device in the device list and scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the “USB File Status”
UI Enhancements
Sleep Mode
Now it is easier than ever to keep track of devices in Sleep Mode. we added a marker for map module on the dashboard page, and we clearly identify sleep devices in the device list with a tag and appropriate background color.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where Log files could not be be deleted.
- Fixed a bug where units field for J1939 proprietary variables does not validate correctly.
- Fixed error when deleting CAN messages.
